Welcome dinner (2-course) is included at Hotel Arctic. Around 22:00 we depart for a midnight sailing trip to the famous Ilulissat Icefiord that is the world’s largest ice sculpture park. The experience is overwhelming, lights and colours constantly change and enjoy a late Martini on “the real rocks”. Duration about 3 hours. Dress warmly.

We sail south along Ilulissat Icefiord, where we admire the huge icebergs and the local fishermen in their small boats. We reach Ilimanaq settlement, still dependent on hunting and fishing. When we arrive at the pier we will see wooden houses from the old Danish trading station, dated back to 1730. After a walk through the settlement we visit a small local restaurant, where we enjoy a lunch (included) based on Greenlandic specialties. On the return, we cruise the Disko Bay to spot for migrating whales before we reach Ilulissat.
