Kríunes is by the lake Ellidavatn with its exceptional environmental beauty, trees and birdlife etc. As well as fishing of wild trout in the lake. The nature reserve Heidmörk is within walking distance and there are many beautiful running and jogging paths in the area. Kríunes combines the privilege of the city and the peacefulness of the countryside. Kríunes is therefore a good choice for those who want to stay in the city and at the same time enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoor and exceptional beauty of the nature.

Bedrooms: We offer single, double and triple bedrooms. All bedrooms have private bathrooms.
Family suite: The family suite has two bedrooms, a sitting area and a big bathroom. It can hold seven people.

Activities:

Boats: Boats for rowing, foot petal boats, kayaks and canoes are provided. Good choice for families and individuals to make the most of the adventure on the lake.
Fishing: Fishing permits are sold at Kríunes. Mainly two types of wild trout are in the lake Ellidavatn. Fishing rod’s can be least. Boats are also a fine option to use for fishing.
Golf: Putting course and 3 holes.
Mountain bikes: We rent out mountain bikes. There are many nice trails around the lake and in and around Reykjavík.
Climbing wall: We offer 10 meters high climbing wall for those who want to test their courage.
Hiking and guiding: There are many unique trails in the vicinity as well as in the mountains. We offer guiding in all activities.
There are all types of marked routs for jogging, horses, cycling etc. In the general vicinity as well as in the nature reserve Heidmörk which is at the east side of Ellidavatn. It is also possible to walk, run or cycle to the center of Reykjavik. Many swimming pools are in Reykjavik Arbaearlaug and Breidholtslaug closest to Kriunes, about 5 kilometers away. All types of museums are in Reykjavik, Árbæarsafn closest to Kríunes, where a part of the Icelandic saga is displayed. Shops are close by where all necessities can be obtained. The biggest mall in the country, Smáralind is only a few minutes drive away. Most times a guide can be available for fishing, hiking and sightseeing.

Kríunes has a geothermal outdoor hot tub and a Sauna. There is an outdoor shower and a nice inside area with showers.
