Theme Hotel dedicated to the Icelandic Horse

Hotel Eldhestar is situated 2 km outside Hveragerði in South Iceland and is only a 30-minute drive away from Reykjavík. Eldhestar was the first Hotel in Iceland to receive the environmental label the Nordic Swan. 26 double rooms, size 22.5 m² – 23.5 m², all with a private bathroom, beds from Hästens in Sweden, TV, internet connection and doors out to the garden in every room . The beds are unique regarding quality and are also eco-labelled with the Nordic Swan. Some of the rooms are suitable for physically disabled guests. The hotel features a bar and warm cognac corner, dining room that can seat 70-80 people. Conference room that can seat 30-40 people. In the garden are 2 geothermal hot tubs and the right place to relax after a day of adventure or to search for the Northern Lights in the winter. The hotel is dedicated to the Icelandic horse - the most useful servant for centuries in Iceland. On the walls of Hotel Eldhestar there are old photos and texts telling the history and reminding us about the importance of the Icelandic horse through the ages. You might want to take part in one of the many riding tours. Eldhestar offers tours from 1 hour and up to several days on horseback.
