BLUE LAGOON EXPRESS BUS
The Blue Lagoon is one of Iceland’s most popular attractions, a natural geothermal pool in the middle of a large and dramatic lava field and an oasis that owes its existence to a nearby geothermal power plant, looming large over the aqua tinted waters. We stop for 1 ½ hour for a refreshing bathe or a swim in the inviting, rejuvenating and pleasantly warm mineral-rich water (37°C-39°C/98-102°F), reputed for its healing properties. An indoor pool and geothermal sauna are also on the site. Bathing in this surreal environment is a unique experience no one should miss. The Blue Lagoon’s warm water and natural active ingredients like mineral salts, silica and blue green algae help you relax and escape the stress and strain of daily life.

Enjoy our schedule bus from Reykjavik to the famous Blue Lagoon and back to Reykjavik or to Keflavik International airport.
A visit to the Blue Lagoon Iceland geothermal spa is an important part of your stay in Iceland. Guests renew their relationship with nature, soak up the scenic beauty and enjoy breathing the clean, fresh air while relaxing in the warm geothermal seawater.
It is no surprise that the readers of “Conde Nast Traveller” voted Blue Lagoon as the best medical spa worldwide. For five consecutive years Blue Lagoon has been awarded the Blue Flag environmental recognition granted to natural beaches and marinas.
The water’s temperature is 37-39°C / 98-102°F. The lagoon holds six million liters of geothermal seawater, which is renewed every 40 hours. Regular sampling shows that “common” bacteria do not thrive in this ecosystem, thus additional cleansers such as chlorine are not needed.
To fully enjoy the visit, Blue Lagoon recommends:
• A short walk around the spectacular the surroundings.
• A coffee or tea and a light snack at Blue Café before entering the lagoon.
• A refreshing shower and use of Blue Lagoon shower gel and conditioner.
• A relaxing in-water treatment or an indoor massage.
• Applying Blue Lagoon silica mud mask provided in boxes around the lagoon.
• A rest at the relaxing area on the second floor of the indoor lagoon area while enjoying a view of the Blue Lagoon.
• Having refreshments at the Lagoon bar which can be conveniently credited to your bracelet (the key to your locker) and paid upon departure.
• An energizing massage under the Blue Lagoon waterfall.
• A geothermal steam bath and sauna followed by a refreshing cold water sprinkle.
• A pre-dinner drink at the Lava Bar and spectacular view from the viewing platform for a picture-perfect moment.
