Now you can enjoy the sea angling adventure of a lifetime! Fishing is great fun for all age groups and all our boats are well equipped for sea angling expeditions. Our fishing rods are first class and our captain and crew are all skilled fishermen. We provide you with protective clothing and other equipment for your convenience and comfort. Our guided sea angling tours take 2.5 - 3 hours and start at the Reykjavik Old Harbour, conveniently located only a 5 minute walk away from down town Reykjavik. In our Sea angling trips you can expect to catch Cod, Halibut, Haddock, Rockfish and Pollock. On our way out to the fishing grounds we sail past the Puffin island Akurey, teaming with Puffins and other birdlife (1 May – 20 August). Our crew teaches you how to fish and advices you on bait and other techniques. Barbequing the fish caught is indeed available and a popular option for the proud fishermen. Sea angling is ideal for either experienced fishermen or simply relaxing out in the bay with a fishing rod in hand. The abundant and lively birdlife completes the experience. At our sea angling adventures you enjoy a lot of time with our captain and crew who are always telling entertaining stories and willing to chat and answer all your questions. Departure location: We leave from the Old Harbour of Reykjavik. It is only a 5 minute walk from the city centre.
Tour departures: Sea Angling Tours depart daily at 18:00 from 01 May to 31 August. Boats are available for earlier departures as well as off season.
Tour pick up: Free pick-up service in the greater Reykjavik area is included, around 20-30 minutes before the departure of the fishing trip.
Tour duration: Our Sea Angling tours take 2.5 – 3 hours.
Clothing & Comfort: Warm and comfortable overalls are offered for our passengers. It is however recommended to wear warm clothes, as well as hats, scarves and gloves. In Iceland the weather can change very quickly and it can get much colder out on sea than it appears on land.
Guides: The Sea Angling captain and crew are skilled fishermen who teach you how to bait and deep sea fish. They also tell you all about the beautiful surroundings and seabirds often seen on our trips. They also love telling fun and interesting stories and are happy to try to answer all of your questions in the light and fun athmosphere.
Fish: In our sea angling trips you can expect to catch Cod, Halibut, Haddock, Rockfish and Pollock.
Season: The Sea Angling schedule is from 1 May – 31 August, departing at 18:00. However sea angling tours are operated all year long upon request as well as earlier in the day if requested (minimum number of passengers required).
Location of tour: We depart from the Old Harbour in Reykjavík, only a 5 minute walk from the city centre. From May 1 to August 20 we visit the Puffin Island, Akurey, on our way out to Faxafloi Bay where we stop to fish. Our captain Saevar usually finds fish very soon due to his extensive experience. Free pick-up is provided in the greater Reykjavik area.
Minimum age: This tour is ideal from the age 6 and older
