ADVENTURE BREAKS IN SOUTH GREENLAND

4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

Getaways from Iceland to the Land of the Inuit. A fully-escorted adventure tour, staying in hotel accommodation with private facilities

Discover iceberg-covered seas and the paradoxes of a country called "Green Land" which, nevertheless, has the second-largest polar ice cap in the world, just behind Antarctica; A different country, unique and until very recently, isolated from Western customs and lifestyles.
We propose the most complete adventure break in Greenland. Exploring the icebergs filled fiords with our adventurous RIB boats, helicopter flight with spectacular views, navigation close to some of the largest glacier fronts in south Greenland, unique crampon excursion into the inland ice and kayaking opportunities among icebergs. In just a few days you will gain first-hand knowledge of the home of the Inuit; the history of its first settlers, its most beautiful valleys, its most impressive glaciers and its waters dotted with blue-tinged ice. A short trip separates Iceland – the well-known European natural enclave – from Greenland, an island – the largest in the world – blessed with an extraordinary and untamed beauty located on the edge of the unexplored Arctic.

After a short three-hour airplane trip, we will find ourselves in a new world, which is waiting to be discovered, where roads are the exception and where nature is practically untouched. On some starry nights we will also experience the awe-inspiring Northern Lights, in southern Greenland famous throughout the world for the frequency with which these spirits of the north can be seen on summer nights. GREENLAND, without doubt, a genuine land of contrasts and of Real Adventure

IMPORTANT BE AWARE OF GREENLAND CONDITIONS:
The route may be done as it is explained above or in reverse order. The order of the activities may not be exactly as planned in this outline. Greenland is the wildest country in the northern hemisphere, infrastructure is almost non-existent and logistics pose enormous challenges. That is the reason why we may not follow this daily itinerary exactly as planned. All activities are subject to change in order to adapt the journey to the weather conditions, sea conditions, or technical and organisational difficulties, and it therefore requires flexibility in the traveller. Some activities may be cancelled because of weather or ice conditions as locals say “The weather is Boss in Greenland”.
