DAY EXCURSIONS FROM TASIILAQ - EAST GREENLAND
It has only been a hundred years since the first Europeans arrived in the inhabited districts in East Greenland. Therefore the traditional Inuit culture continuously plays an important role in the local communities.
In East Greenland the old traditions are being kept alive: Original faith is still reflected in the art and handicrafts made by local artists and drum dance is even now performed.
Tasiilaq - former Angmagssalik - is located 12 minutes by helicopter away from Kulusuk. Like most other towns in Greenland Tasiilaq is characterised by small, wooden, colourful houses. Being the largest town in East Greenland with approx. 1700 inhabitants Tasiilaq offers most of the comforts that tourists desire.
