Dear Sonia
Every year in the industry something arises to cause us deep concern and consternation, Hurricanes', SARS, Swine Flu, riots, flooding, political uprising etc, and all normally have some major impact on us and we generally rise to the occasion to solve the related problems.
The banning of flights when we had in excess of 65000 Monarch Group passengers overseas created one of the most difficult operational situations possible.
No amount of training or contingency planning could possibly have prepared any of us for the actual reality that ensued.
Therefore it is with great pride and sincerity that l am able to say “That when the going got tough, the tough got going!”
Without any doubt your team rose to the occasion, above and beyond the call of the normal duties that you are expected to do.
You were selfless in the one objective of helping to accommodate our guests and ultimately help in their repatriation back to the UK.
On behalf of the whole team at Archers and Cosmos please accept our sincere thanks for being “First class” and tirelessly dedicating your past week to helping all our colleagues in the UK and our stranded guests, it is greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely
Alan MacLean
