Just wanted to say I had an amazing time on the Mountain Highlights tour. The itinerary gave a very comprehensive overview of Iceland and I really enjoyed all the hiking and the varied activities. Our guide Anna Lara was fantastic--funny, knowledgeable, level headed, and an excellent driver. She taught us so much about Icelandic history, myths, botany, and geology that I feel I have a real understanding of your country, something I didn't expect after only ten days.

We arrived home safely last night. It got dark! Once again I want to thank you for your hard work and competence in setting up our tour itinerary. Of greatest importance, perhaps, is the driver who we spend so much time with. Hafsteinn was the perfect choice! I was so impressed by his geological knowledge and personal skills, as well, of course, his driving skill. He is a treasure! Superb! Everyone said so.

Gummi had been an excellent driver and we could not have had a more obliging or knowledgeable guide. They gave us a though but unhurried tour. Kris, our guide, answered every question with thoughness and good humour.

It was the Mountain Highlights tour that departed Reykjavik on Monday 28 June. Our tour leader was Anna. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was a most comprehensive program. It covered so many different aspects of Iceland. I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the planning that went into the tour. I particularly enjoyed the journey into the interior of the the island. It was fascinating.
